Support acts were there to rev up the crowd and The Potbelleez more than delivered with upbeat hits ‘Hello’ and ‘Don’t Hold Back’. The crowd were super pumped by the time the ever sweet Trey Songz hit the stage and had the girls swooning over him as he sang ‘Say Aah’ and ‘Love Faces’. Songz put on a brilliant performance from start to finish and ending with ‘Bottoms Up’ left the audience hungry for more.
After a long suspenseful building of anticipation Usher took to the stage in spectacular style in a space suit amidst a cloud of smoke and cool pyrotechnics. The 32-year-old singer/songwriter/dancer/actor worked thousands of excited women of all ages into a screaming frenzy.
He performed all his great sing-along hits like ‘Burn’, ‘You Remind Me’ and ‘You Make Me Wanna’ while ‘Yeah!’ brought the house down. He performed a befitting tribute to his inspiration, Michael Jackson, with a dance medley of ‘Can’t Stop Til You Get Enough’, ‘Rock With You’ and ‘Billie Jean’ (featuring the moonwalk, of course). However, he did lose the crowd somewhere in the middle of the show with some unrecognisable ballads (the perfect time to share jealousy-inducing status updates). This was an easily forgiven down point as the show featured some simply amazing dance choreography and awesome costumes, including the shiniest ever glittery kicks, pimping red jacket and the shirtless white pants combo.
Crowd pleaser (teaser?) Usher brought it home with an encore of his latest chart topping hits ‘More’ and ‘OMG’. The concert was just one big pumping party that I wished wouldn’t end. In a sentence, YEAH, OMG, I want MORE!
